I'm not sure about you but I almost never zoomed in or out while playing so adding something to the zoom features should be painless for most people? Am I the only one that never messed with the camera/zoom while playing?
Nope, I play most RTS games zoomed out. Because it's the most efficient way to play the game. However, it's pretty much a waste of nice graphics. While I'd like to zoom in and enjoy the scenery, I can't play the game that way.
If you'd like to play a RTS game where you can play and actually make use of your new graphics card, give the Rise and Fall demo a try. Being able to play a RTS in first person mode as your hero makes it interesting. Raiding a fortress with an army while walking among them is a cool experience.
