I think my point was, making a Tribes game that core tribes community will enjoy is not likely to happen.
If that was your point, then I agree with it completely.
It's basically related to what you said, T:V wasn't a real tribes game. You're right. There are so many hoops they'd need to jump through right now just to make something with a Tribes label on it. I don't think whatever ended up on the shelf would be a real tribes game.
Maybe what would be needed would be to take a Valve approach to the problem (no, not steam). Make a "Tribes: Source" type game where the original Tribes was redone with a new engine. That's probably the only real chance of breathing new life into the Tribes series. I'm not sure what the market for it would be like, but I know there are many people out there that never gave Tribes a shot. This comment was edited on Feb 20, 10:53.
