Anyone and everyone who has played competitively on-line under a Punk Buster supported game knows PB is a huge joke. Yeah, they may catch a few hacks here and there but for the most part the hacks out are always a step or two ahead of what PB supports or keeps in check.
Take R6 RvS for instance. I built a new system a few months back and reinstalled RvS & Athena Sword. I went onto our clan server only to be booted within minutes for a fluid movement setting in my INI file. So basically PB booted me because it says I changed a setting inside my game. Bull shit, I hadn't tocuhed anything in the INI file. It was a straight from the CDs install and patch. Nothing altered, period. So PB kicks legit players but the guy using the wall-hack and aim-bot goes unnoticed.
My point is Punk Buster is just a brand name now. The software is doing something I am sure of it... but is it catching the guys hacking with the latest "downloaded skillz"? Hell no! It might catch the stupid 13 year old who gets a hold of some old hacks... but that is about it.
A clan mate a year or two back was involved in the Punks Busted site. The funniest shit was when another admin for Punks Busted got busted hacking in a PB supported game. And of course the canned response was something like this... (It wasn't me, it was my son, he used my PC. He installed a hack and played on-line with my game.) Yeah, and pigs can fly!
Not to mention the league we played on did little to stop the hacks... especailly if you where in the click. We had a fraps video of a guy running a level in RvS. It was so obvious he had wall-hack and aim-bot. He never hesistated he always ran straight toward the other team and as soon as he broke cover they went down in less then three seconds. If you reviewed the shot stats before he spent most of a clip into a wall to lower his hit ratio he was shooting over 80%. We sent the video to the ladder admins who were friends with the clan he played for. And never got any reponse back. A week later a posting was made the clan was retiring. No posting about them getting busted. No labeling them hacks like they did all the others they supposedly caught.
Another league/ladder we played on would change rules to benefit the admins clan. I brought the point up that an admin ruling over clans he matches against is a clear conflict of interests. They told me to stop starting shit or my clan and I would be kicked from the ladder/league. 
Again my point is not only is PB shit but almost all on-line gaming is corrupt. This whole EA/DICE fiasco is just taking it to a new level. I love to see them busting these retards but it just shows me again how they totally skipped over these issues in the testing stages of the game.
