Yeah DG,
When I saw the Quakewars video it cracked me up to see the medic bust out the paddles and shock a dead player back to life just like in BF2. Not that DICE has a patent on paddles in video games or anything, but you would think they could have used a different device for re-animating people. Especially given that quakewars is set in the future.
Side Note, those paddles in BF2 are friggin awesome. One of the things I love most about BF2 is I can play the class that most fits my mood, or the current need of my team. In other games I never liked medic, but since they gave the BF2 medic a decent gun and didnt combat-nerf him, it's a BLAST. I love saving people asses with the paddles.
Still I am stoked to see ET:QW. I have always wanted a large outdoor game like this with the granular feedback and detail of a id shooter. As much as I love BF2, the physics feedback of the player (weight, weapon, etc) is nothing compared to a game like Q3.

-- He cut the possum's face off then cut around the eye socket. In the center of the belt buckle, where the possum's eye would be, he has placed a small piece of wood from his old '52 Ford's home made railroad tie bumper. Damn, he misses that truck. |
