Ok. In order to 100% prevent this you will need to find a perfectly flat piece of land and purchase the surrounding 24,630 acres in a circle. That will guarantee that nobody is in line of sight.
Well, actually I was able to accomplish this on only 2 acres of land. The house sits in the middle of a wooded lot surrounded by evergreen trees which gives year-round privacy from my one and only neighbor. While not quite the social outcast of a previous poster, I must admit that seclusion was one of the top deciding factors when I purchased my home. It's nice to go home and isolate yourself from the world at times. I'll go out if I want to socialize or I'll invite people to my house.
