I think your all forgetting the point of gun ownership to begin with. It isn't for hunting and protecting yourselve from thieves. It's a balance to prevent the government from encroaching on your civil liberties. I think there is no need for handguns as they are only used for crime. They should only sell assault rifles. Think about it. It's not as crazy as it first sounds.

Also shooting a guy robbing your house is a little harsh.

1. Yeah, try shooting a cop that is doing something wrong, good luck with that one Nemesis. Oh, and if you think George W is not doing his job or feel his is endagering others, good luck getting him in your scopes, and I wish you even better luck defending yourself in court with a "civil liberties" defense.

2. How do you know they are just there to rob your house? Someone is in there that isn't supposed to be.....don't stand there like an idiot talking to them like in the movies, pull the trigger (even in the leg or something, they have to go to the hospital, cops can get em there, then you have DNA also to track them down, they are most likely in the system) and ask questions later.
