I don't know about anyone else, but I enabled this early on, and it MURDERED my framerates. Granted, I have an AthlonXP 2000+, 512 ram for now (more on the way), but I also have a GeForce6800GT awaiting a new home, which helps make up for it. But I was seriously getting a slideshow in firefights with player shadow on. It tends to clip into some objects, and just doesn't look as good as you'd hope. Also, since your "feet" leave a shadow, but you can't actually see them when you look down, you just end up seeing a shadow cast from nothing.

I really, really wish they'd have let you look at your own feet, since the game is supposed to be so immersive. Why do most FPSs leave this out? When I look down, I see shoes, not floor (although I guess many just see gut).

Another pet peeve, when you look in a mirror, actions in the mirror lag behind what you do in first person by about half a second, enough to be noticable. Shouldn't this be easily fixable? I realize it's not gonna match exactly, but it's so out of sync, it's distracting.
