What's the disadvantage of turning it off? If you encounter a skin it hasn't loaded you'll get a slight drop in fps for a second or two. The faster load times are more than worth it though. And speaking of skins, why are there some skins missing? Have you finished the single-player ladder yet? That should unlock the remaining skins. This comment was edited on Mar 21, 11:26.
