Surprised no ones mentioned that this announcement sheds some light on the ritual firings 2 months ago. my guess was they lost the project awhile ago and thats why they had to lay off part of their staff. personally, im a big fan of ritual's and can't see why valve would have fired them. The firings were due to them finishing several projects at once with no certain projects on the horizon. Ritual had no clue what Valve was doing with CZ for the past 2 months. They literally only found out about it through gaming news sites, the same as you and I.
