LOL! Stop trolling, Gabe.

As many other people have said, the source being stolen has no bearing on the development of the game. Valve is using this as an excuse to delay the game.

In fact, you should thank the hackers who stole the source. The fact that they need another five months to finish the game means that if Valve WOULD HAVE released HL2 last week, we would all have been stuck with another buggy POS game. Maybe HL2 will be finished by the time it is released, now.

Honestly, what would they possibly have to rewrite because someone saw the code? About the only thing I can think of that might be necessary to change is any crypto keys they might have included in the code as constants to encrypt/hash stuff. And if they did something as stupid as THAT, they deserve to lose all this hypothetical money anyway. Aside from that possiblity, there isn't anything they need to rewrite. the OGC guys do a good enough job writing cheats without the source.
