'Yes, the impression I get of Halo from many people who have played it is that, although it isn't anything particularly revolutionary, it is one of those rare games where everything just clicks and it all adds together to be something far greater than the sum of its parts.'
Amen to that. Polished. The game feels so polished. I hardly ever replay games and bar one or two levels of halo i'd kick it off again right now. In a sea of games that leave you thinking that they were close to getting it perfect but didn't, that it the game issues that detract or smells of lazyness in game design, they just got it 'right'.
I don't have an x box and and have given most of it's other titles a big miss. To me the consoles a giant doorstop. Halo saved an otherwise 'so what?' console from being a disaster so it deserves credit where it's due.
