I watched some youtube vids of the gameplay and this game looks very console kiddie smash-'em-up type game with no intelligence required beyond that of button mashing which a chimpanzee can easily do.
WTF I guess I need to play it then bash it as pure garbage. It's a beat em up, not Baldur's Gate. That's what it has been marketed as and designed to be. It's a sandbox beat em up. The combat system has a lot of depth, that's about it. They never claimed it be anything else, it sounds like you're looking for a different type of game.
I played this for a bit on PC. The controls are somewhat irritating, mainly because the character's turn speed has nothing to do with your mouselook speed. Increasing the sensitivity only makes the slow turn speed more obvious. This is probably less noticeable with a gamepad and since this game doesn't actually require any aiming, it might actually be better. It would break gameplay a bit because in combat situations you're not supposed to be able to turn on a dime like that. I agree it's initially uncomfortable for navigating the city but I adjusted to it just fine in about 5 minutes. If you want to quickly change direction, you can always use the airdash and rolls.
