Out of the Blue

The seared finger I suffered over last weekend was while I grilled some chicken with the first pass at some homemade marinade. It came out very good, though I have some significant tweaks to try before next time. It will actually be difficult to exceed the results of the store-bought stuff (we've had great results with Stubbs'), but there is a lot of satisfaction in creating a homemade version, even if creating a marinade is quite simple.

Even though I agree with the principle of why this guy did this, he's clearly an idiot. One time in court for speeding I was pissed off and brought that up to the judge about who watches the watchmen. I can't count the times I've sen cops speeding for no reason or hitting the sirens to un a red light and then just go back to cruising on the other side. The judge responded this case was a about me, not them, and I replied well if that's the example they set why should he surprised if citizens then follow suit and break the law themselves. He dismissed the ticket and admonished me to strive for a higher standard in that case. I thanked him an admonished him for not firing those officers that feel that being a cop gives them carte blanche to do as they please.
