Out of the Blue

Well, I managed to install our new kitchen faucet without causing an actual flood, though I'd be lying if I said this was a completely dry affair, as when I flushed the hose for the new faucet, the hose jumped from the bucket like a water jet (curse you Newton's third law!). Aside from how gross the workings of the old faucet became over time (presumably mostly due to the effects of water after the inner seal broke), it was a pretty easy project, and it seems to have turned out pretty well. The biggest casualty was me, as I managed to hit my head a couple of times on the underside of the sink; I didn't even feel them, but I have a couple of nicks, as my Jason Statham haircut offers very little protection from such mishaps.

I've got a permanent scar across the middle of my forehead from the exact same thing. And since grandpa decided to bless me with the gift of baldness, it's visible at all times.
