A demo for Need for Speed ProStreet is now available, offering a test drive of the next installment in the long-running, high octane series. Word is: "Now PC gamers can experience the power, aggression and rivalry that defines street racing culture through two distinct, exciting racing modes - Grip and the all-new Speed Challenge." getting rid of the Fast & Furious "bling-bling/pimp mah ride, dawg" street-racing nonsense they did nothing of the sort - well the street-racing is gone I suppose. This game is so bad it has the non-celebrity of the sluttiest girl australia has seen from big brother as one of the grid-sluts, (Krystal Forscutt) They need to take NFS into the realm of test drive unlimited where it used to be; a la cruising around in exotic cars in exotic locales with chases every now and then. Unfortunately I can't think of any other direction NFS can go, PGR has the racing side covered, TDU has the cruising side moderately covered, burnout and flatout have the carnage side covered and nobody wants ricer/hiphop crap anymore. They used to be the ultimate racing games... such a shame Maybe we should have NFS: Carmageddon? Oh how I loved those games.
