Medieval 2: Total War Patch

A new patch for Medieval 2: Total War brings Creative Assembly's large-scale RTS sequel to version 1.2. Download locations for the various localized editions are listed on TotalWar.com. No details are provided about what's new and different in the large patch.

I've actually started to play again recently.

I like the game, but I liked R:TW better. There are a few things about M2:TW that bug me. Such as cavalary not being any good (though it would be patched I believe). Ranged units also seem toned down since R:TW (at least pre-gunpowder). Both these fact makes combat more of a "get as many men in there and you'll win", because every unit feels more or less the same. The other issue is micromanagement. At the end of the game there's so many provinces to manage it becomes real slow.
