More Pro Gaming on TV

New deal will bring competitive gaming to TV reports Major League Gaming has enlisted media development and production company Flame Ventures, a new ally in their efforts at furthering their media reach. Word is: "While details have not yet been released, gaming fans can expect to see some of Major League Gaming's most prominent 2007 events, like the Boost Mobile-sponsored Pro Circuit tour, on television stations as well as through mobile distribution."

You just described mainstream video game journalism as well.

Which is precisely why I stopped paying attention to 99.9% of game journalism. It serves almost no point. Hell G4 on TV is a joke. The shows are out of date by the time you get to see them, or they show old reruns constantly.

Pro video gaming is about as entertaining as watching paint dry. The *only* time I watch recordings of games is when I'm trying to pick up new ideas for strategy, and that's about it.
