EA's Madden NFL 07 Heads Into the Playoffs as the Best-Selling Game of 2006 (thanks Frans) has word that with over 5 million units sold across ten different platforms, "EA believes, based on its own internal data as well as industry sources, that across all game platforms, Madden NFL 07 will finish as North America's most popular game of 2006."

I used to play Madden, I really like it, but the last few have been ridiculously shit. Cut features, bad gameplay = shitty game. So who the hell is playing this crap? Guess the more die hard NFL fans really have no choice. And Squashes competition? There is no competition; they are getting 100% of the NFL market with a shitty product.
