Epic and EA
Announce Unreal Engine 3 Adopted for Select Next-Gen Titles (thanks Frans)
is the press release revealing just what its title says, and little more,
stating: "Epic Games and Electronic Arts Inc. today announced that they have
entered into a license agreement for EA to adopt the Unreal Engine 3 for use in
several next-generation titles that are currently under development."
Next-generation is, of course, a euphemism for consoles, but nothing more about
what this involves is revealed, so the only remaining fun is to check out Mark
Rein kissing EA's ass: "We're obviously thrilled to license Unreal Engine 3 to
EA, the world leader in our industry. They have extremely talented development
teams, and we're excited to see how they apply our technology to their high
profile game projects."
