Off to the Vet with the pooches. It is no coincidence that I groomed them up yesterday, not doing so seemed like going to the people doctor without bathing or Dr. Toothy without having brushed my teeth.

What are the major differences between the two? FSB? The place I shop at (canadacomputers.com) shows a.. In the case you quoted the better deal is the AMD, as it is up against the old Pentium D. The Intel CPU you listed is not based on the new Core architecture; any that are have that in their name IE 'Core Duo' or 'Core 2 Duo'. In that price range you'd be better of going with the E6300 or E6400 as the performance is very impressive and there are already reports of those lower end CPUs going as much as 1.5GHz above stock clock speeds on air cooling.
