New patches are now available for F.E.A.R., updating the US and European editions of Monolith's first-person shooter to version 1.03. Word is: "The new update will include the introduction of the ‘PunkBuster’ anti-cheat software, a vote kick option that allows players to be removed from multiplayer games for unsporting behavior, and 3 new Multiplayer maps. This update follows the recent launch of the F.E.A.R. SDK (Software Development Kit) and stand-alone server software for both Linux and Win32." The patches are on the Sierra Entertainment Website and the US patch is mirrored on 3D Downloads, 3D Gamers, FileFront, FileNuts, Gameguru Mania, GameSpot, VGPro, and Worthplaying. One or more of the Euro patches are on 3D Gamers, 4players.de, Boomtown (registration required), FileFront, and Worthplaying. There are also new version Win32 and Linux dedicated servers, available on 3D Gamers and Worthplaying. Finally, there are also new tools to accompany the new version, they can be found on 3D Gamers and Worthplaying.
