CoC: DCoE PC Affirmed

The Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth Website (thanks Frans) has an updated list of target platforms for the Lovecraft-inspired game from Headfirst Productions that's already available for the Xbox. While the PC version is listed as reassurance that the game will hit PCs, which at times seemed to be in doubt, the corresponding bad news is that the PS2 version is no longer listed, suggesting that version of the game is no longer in the works.

I've only played about an hour of it, and it's the first FPS I've played on a console. The graphics are gorgeous, and the atmosphere is quite accurate. I just made it to Innsmouth, and you'd know that's Innsmouth, even if they didn't tell you. The voice acting is spotty unfortunately, and doesn't have the quality the graphics do. The main character seems a bit of a wimp. He's a police detective and the site of a few bodies bothers him more than it should (the effect of stress is quite noticeable in the interface, vision blurs, you can hear heartbeats, controller vibrates to match the heartbeat) I picked it up for $29.99 at Fry's, and I think it'll be worth at least that. List is $39.99.
