Out of the Blue

Happy Labor Day to all those who are celebrating, which, as has been pointed out here and other places before, actually involves not laboring. I guess that means I'm not celebrating, but I'm not complaining either... In my book it's better to have a job you love and no time off than a job you hate interspersed by vacations.

Speaking of labors of love, I've gotten to spend more time playing space invaders zapping ads, as even after removing all the code that I suspected of causing the dodgy ActiveX installer I mentioned yesterday, it was still occurring. I have finally sorted through all the mysteries of what was causing this to happen on the front page here, and am on the verge of killing it off everywhere else. Again, heartfelt apologies for completely unacceptable behavior from any self-respecting website.

Patrick Bateman: "When I see a pretty girl walking down the street, I think two things. One part wants me to take her out, talk to her, be real nice and sweet and treat her right."
David Van Patten: And what did the other part think?
Patrick Bateman: "What her head would look like on a stick..."
