We had quite a scare last night... I was fighting a virtual battle somewhere
when MrsBlue came up frantically saying something about a problem outside (it must have mystified the players in my squad when I dropped out of
the game while leading the server in points). I ran downstairs to hear Gunnar
furiously barking in the backyard with this odd mournful howl occasionally
coming through. I called everyone in, but only Gunnar returned. Now in a panic,
I had to go searching the yard with a flashlight to find poor Hudson, who was
accidentally trapped with one of her front legs wedged in the crook of two
branching trunks of a small tree. I imagine she was in the process of treeing
something when she got trapped, but she was easily freed, and seemed none the
worse for the experience. I, on the other hand, am still getting over the trauma
of searching for her in the dark worrying that something tragic had happened.
