Out of the Blue

It's not a big deal, but IE 6 has developed this annoying habit of suppressing its status bar. I re-enable it via the view menu, and next browser I open, it's gone again. Like I say, it's no biggie, though it is surprising to learn how often I will use the status bar to see where a link goes before clicking it.

Very cool. Reminds me of Spider Robinson... Yeah... of course, SS1 (and any of the other X-prize candidates) won't have anything like a SS launch. In part because they're not going anywhere near as high or with as much weight, but mostly because it's a bloody inefficient way to go about doing it. Spider Robinson is one hell of a writer, that's for sure.
