Out of the Blue

True to our plan, MrsBlue and I ventured forth last night for an evening out to celebrate our recent wedding anniversary. We finally made it into a local Mexican bistro that has been highly recommended by a couple of local acquaintances, and true to the counsel we received, the food and atmosphere were exceptional. What I found most interesting was the presence of a man with a guitar and a woman with some manner of hand percussion dealie who were going from table to table in their showy outfits serenading the patrons with Mexican music. This was something I had only previously seen in movies and on TV, and was pretty darned neat, though it was quite odd when they made their way to our table, as MrsBlue felt it was impolite to continue eating while they played for us, and I found it too odd to continue eating myself after she paused, so there we sat for a few minutes as our food cooled, so we could smile and nod appreciatively at the people preventing us from eating.

I think next time I'm going to allow my own sensibilities to override any awkwardness I might feel if this scenario should ever repeat itself, and just keep on eating.
