UT2004 Demo's Glory

Atari and Epic Games' ``Unreal Tournament 2004'' Demo Becomes One of the Most Popular Game Downloads of All Time is the press release with some hype about the new demo: "Gamers worldwide have made the trial version of "UnrealŪ Tournament 2004" one of the most popular game demo downloads of all time, with more than 1.5 million downloads in the first week of availability. The demo first hit the Internet on Wednesday, February 11, and was distributed on a worldwide scale."

it was a good demo. But as well, does the fact that there is absolutely no really amazing games out right now to play have any bearing on the amount of demo d/ls? This year and last year were aptly named Year of The Delay for good reason. ;p
