Half-Life 2 in Summer at Soonest

Half-Life 2 gets a new release date on CNN Money doesn't actually fulfill the promise in its own headline of a definitive release date for Half-Life 2, though they do quote Valve's Doug Lombardi in saying that Valve is currently "targeting this summer for the completion" of their eagerly anticipated shooter sequel. The article summarizes the Source-engine source code theft that contributed to this situation, and goes on to quote Troika's Jason Anderson as saying that Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines is likewise delayed, reporting that the upcoming vampire-themed RPG that uses the same technology is now expected no sooner than Spring 2005, after originally being slated for a 2004 release (they also predict the announcement below).

Actually, Sepharo. Yours is more accurate and informational. You include actual dates and you list events in the correct order. You don't mix facts with your opinion. Your only problem is... You haven't finished it! Come-on, man. Bring it up to date.

But I agree, PsycSui's is probably more effective. Good work, PsycSui. ... for this sort of thing, that is.

However, I still wish Valve the best of luck. I'm just not going to trust any PR from them... ever. They just string people along with their lame promises and assurances... Ah, I remember the heady days of TF2 hype. Those where the days.
