A little more DOOM 3 comes way of a preview on Computer and Video Games reprinted from PC Zone Magazine (thanks Frans) that features a Q&A with Tim Willits and Todd Hollenshead, along with some multiplayer impressions, calling the game "quite magnificent," going on to gush: "No game has managed to create quite such an intense, furiously alive and often disorienting atmosphere before - certainly not with such conviction and fidelity - and the resulting effect is profoundly novel."

Translation:

iD allowed us to do a preview story, and every computer game preview must make it sound as if that game is the absolute best game ever released on any platform, and must include a boatload of confusing and conflicting adjectives and adverbs.

We would not dare print anything negative, or even anything that sounds less that totally worshipful, for fear that we would never be allowed to do another preview ever again.

I'm sprawled across the davenport of despair.
