Is that all? Yes, and I'm hoping it won't set fire to the room it runs in.
They can't run most software, you can't build your own and the operating system makes customization difficult at times. They're expensive too. Plus, for all the preaching, Apple is almost as bad in terms of being assholes as M$. Not being able to build your own has been one of the major reasons I haven't checked out a Mac. I'm a picky bastard, and I want things set up like <I> want them.
And yeah, as far as being assholes, I've read that too. Someone was complaining awhile back that they bought (I believe it was called) idvd. But it wouldn't run on his Mac because the software checked and, when it discovered his dvd drive wasn't an official Apple product (as he had installed it himself, for an off the shelf part) the program refused to run. F$*& that!
Don't get me wrong, MS is a bunch of greedy, arrogant pricks. But from what I've read on Apple, Steve Jobs and Co. aren't exactly saints, either.

Mr. Tact Apr 17, 2013, 12:33: Pretty sure that's the definition of trolling... |
