BF1942 Patch

A new patch for Battlefield 1942 is now available, updating EA's WW2 shooter to version 1.4. The full patch, update patch, and Windows dedicated server can all be found in this EA FTP directory, with the following mirrors: Full patch on 3D Downloads; 3D Gamers; Battlefield1942Files.com; FilePlanet (registration required); FileShack (registration required); Gamer's Hell; and Worthplaying, the update patch on 3D Downloads; 3D Gamers; Battlefield1942Files.com; FileShack (registration required); FilePlanet (registration required); Gamer's Hell; and Worthplaying, and the Win32 server on 3D Downloads; 3D Gamers; Battlefield1942Files.com; FilePlanet (registration required); and Gamer's Hell. The Linux Dedicated server beta can be found on the Battlefield 1942 Website, mirrored on 3D Gamers; Battlefield1942Files.com; FileShack (registration required); Gamer's Hell; and Worthplaying. Word from the folks at Battlefield1942Files.com is there are reports of the update breaking compatibility with mods like Eve of Destruction and Merciless Creations, while users of the popular Desert Combat mod are reporting "mixed results."

Finally they managed to release windows and linux server updates at the same time. If the linux server now just could beta status, everything would be fine
