Out of the Blue

A couple of emails have rolled in from folks who must have missed my earlier mention, so I'll repeat that with Frans off at E3 last week, he was obviously too tied up to compile his normal list of game reviews. Expect the daily round-up of reviews from around the 'net to resume this week as things get back to (what passes for) normal around here.

Stories of the Day: Hungry ferret causes rail scare. Thanks Dave Timlin.
Psyop: The Love’s Not Mutual. Thanks Wamphyr!
'Matrix' sets record for R-rated movie.
Wild Science: Now the Pin is mightier than the pen.
Weird Science: Consumers begin to lose interest in high-speed Internet and Broadband Growth Seen Slowing.
Follow-ups: Sorry, Klingon interpreters, Oregon's not hiring. Thanks Gojo.
Fame Is No Laughing Matter for the `Star Wars Kid'. Following-up other sites' posts (I felt too bad to post it here). Thanks Mike Martinez. (related link - Thanks John W. Simms).
Thanks Mike Martinez.

Now I'm thinking:

Neo's powers in the real world may have been an EMP that he generated by his body. Let me explain:

Being in the Matrix and doing all those amazing things (resurrecting Trinity, freeing his mind) could have rewired his brain permanently.

Now when he is in the real world, he cam push the limits of his body.

It's possible that with all that electrical wiring in his body he could generate an EMP, but would put his body into shock (hence the coma).

Or like someone else said below, he can now tap into the communication frequency the machines use, decipher the encryption (here's where his hacker skills come into play), and control them, all instantaneously and subconsciously.

Notice how this is the first confrontation between Neo and a machine in the real world since his metamorphous into the One. This leads me to believe that while we've never seen him do this before, he was capable of it all along.
