Wired News: New Yorkers Face Off in Spam Spat (thanks Mike Martinez) says: "The National Association of Independent Insurers is concerned that a pending New York state anti-spam law could squelch insurers' ability to send their customers "important e-mail," according to Gerald L. Zimmerman, senior counsel for the NAII." Just shoot me now... we may have to subject ourselves to their protection racket, but I sure don't want to have to be subjected to their "important email."
