Unreal II Manual Patch

A manual patch is now available for those unwilling or unable to use the automated in-game update released yesterday (story). The update can be downloaded from this Infogrames Support Page (thanks PREY). What good are pretty graphics if the gameplay is dull as hell. I guess you fall into that "look how everything is so shiny, it's so pretty" trap. Didn't you notice how basic and uninspiring the gameplay is? Gameplay like this was standard a few years ago. The next game I play which has a similiar linear construction like U2 --> Add/Remove Programs... I'm over with this outdated gaming concept. Considering graphics, yes U2's graphics are for the most time very good. But as I said, everything is too shiny (even gibs from enemies), often you see low resolution textures on models an walls and detail textures have almost never been used (unlike U1!). U1's graphics were at it's time of release more spectacular than today U2's released this year. But if you like the game, your problem. I won't respond anymore because U2 is a closed chaptre in my book... as a failed entertaining masterpiece (not saying that it is a masterpiece at the time being though)
