On Half-Life 2

German gaming site Gamestar.de (thanks HalfLife.de) has an article up (translatable by Babel Fish) speculating that Valve plans on releasing Half-Life 2 by the end of this year. Supporting their theory that the game of the year sequel is more imminent than the lack of updates on its progress would indicate are hints they've uncovered in an NVIDIA conference call, quotes from an ATI press release, and a comment from Valve's own Robin Walker.

Didn't Omikron start out as a "one block" project?

After 15 years of playing games, no i'm not 15, I think i've finaly learned to stop listening to the hype and just judge the final product for what it is. So many games promise so much but end up falling by the wayside. If HL2 ends up taking the HL universe to better and greater places then so be it. Yet if it ends up just being a big name to make bucks I won't be suprised either. Expect the worse, hope for the best?
