Well now that was a snow storm! Again with all due apologies to those from
arctic climes who consider this tanning weather, but we have over two feet of
snow in these parts, which is not even remotely the most impressive accumulation
in the general area. I still have most of the back-breaking shoveling ahead of
me today, though I did do my civic duty yesterday by digging out the fire
hydrant in front of our house (if its services had been required, the whole town
could have burnt down before it was located). I also dug a path off of the deck
and into the yard for Hudson the wonder dog, who of course is so intrepid, she
proceeds to romp around in the snow anyway playing doggie dolphin... popping
above the surface with every stride like she's swimming. So, to recap, doggie:
happy, kids with snow days: happy, and my back.... not so happy.
