When filling a large dog's water bowl got added to making coffee as part of the
morning routine here, we replaced our Brita water pitcher a while back with one
of those larger three-or-so quart models. This morning I managed to cross my
pre-caffeine wires and pour some of the coffee grinds straight into the water
filter. I suppose there is a chance that this represented a subconscious
discovery of a new time saving coffee making method that would involve boiling
the brown water that would then be produced, but I took the other possible interpretation,
that sleep depravation was the cause, and if this weren't addressed, more
dangerous errors were possible in the future. Sure, I may be overlooking a great get-rich-quick scheme here, but I figure it's better to
play it safe and avoid doing something like walking the popcorn while the dog
cooks in the microwave.
