GameSpyDaily is reporting that Earth & Beyond, Westwood's outer space MMORPG, has gone gold. According to the story, the plan is to begin distribution with a limited run of copies to be available at major US retailers on September 24, with new copies to be shipped out on a weekly basis thereafter to control the flow of new players into the game to prevent "a galactic traffic jam."

when i said gameplay mechanics i meant the level mill. i think the main reason jumpgate blew so much was there was no ambience. WC: Privateer was so awesome because of its ambience. u could kinda walk around the stations, not much, but each type of planet or station had an individual ambience. i think the music score had alot to do with it. new detroit actually felt gritty. actually i would pay money to play MMORPG WC: Privateer with the old graphics, just added multiplayer. too bad freelancer is turning into vaporware.
