Shacknews' Raven Software Q&A and The Evolution of the FPS part II on Computer and Video Games are a pair of Q&As with Raven Software's Kenn Hoekstra. True to its title, the CVG story discusses the ongoing changes to the first-person shooter genre, while the Shack's article goes into specifics about Soldier of Fortune II: Double Helix, Raven's upcoming shooter sequel. Some of the topics covered in that latter article include the game's premise, improvements to the storyline, whether the NPCs will be more useful this time out, gameplay features, game locations, the input of the real John Mullins, multiplayer play, copy protection, plans for a demo, and more.

The word going around is that no lucasarts game has ever had copy protection. I don't what the reasoning behind this is, maybe lucasarts is paranoid about copy protected cds not working on computers but that still doesn't explain why there's no Q3 style serial number. Maybe they just have really small support group and don't want to to hit with a bunch of e-mails saying: My cd-key isn't working!!
