This is off topic, but experience has taught that the flood of mail we're already seeing on this will not abate until this is addressed, so best wishes to CmdrTaco over at Slashdot who proposed online in what he describes as the "most potentially (embarrassing) way possible." His fears aside, she accepted, in what is the first online proposal we can recall (oops, no, here's the first). Congrats and best luck to the happy couple, and thanks to Maarten Edgar, first of many to send this along.

QUESTION NOT THE METHOD OF THE GEEK LOVE! And hey, I mean, is it any more ridiculous than some jock taking his love to a baseball or basketball game and asking her by throwing a message up on the JumboTron? Hell, everyone has their own way of going about popping the question... I say if it's comfortable to do so in whatever way, go for it. shrug
