I got myself a "Matrix" style flip phone...and even when it breaks I probably won't get a smartphone. My cell phone is for phone calls. I have zero interest in having my phone become so much a part of my life that everything I do goes through it. Hell, I don't even use text messaging...if it's important enough to bug me while I am out and about then call me or leave a voice mail don't type me some fucked up message made up of misspelled words and annoying acronyms. My step-daughter can't get from one side of the street to the other without looking at hers 30 times....not exactly a habit I want to pick up. We are going to have future generations that have a permanent arch to their neck by age 30. If you want to look them in the eyes you will have to get on your knees and look straight up. You might have to knock the smartphone out of their hands to get their attention though.
