Games like Skyrim have an interesting attention curve for me, though. Once I finish the main quest.. I'm left with an empty feeling and lack of ambition. Suddenly exploring for the sake of exploring and fun has given way to a sense of a great lack of purpose. Just like that the veil just drops.. and I see the uselessness of it all. Restarting fresh with a new character, however, gently puts that veil back on. It's so silly. |
