To go along with issues that caused sales of The War Z on Steam to be suspended comes word that the trademark application for the zombie game is in doubt. A thread on the War Z forums discusses this matter, and while executive producer Sergey Titov accurately points out that the trademark for the game is still listed as "live" by the USPTO, his offhand dismissal of this all as false is not accurate either, as a blog titled WarZscam (a frank admission they have an agenda) has step-by-step instructions on how to locate the suspension notice sent to The War Z dated November 15th. The conflict seems straightforward: The letter references prior registrations for World War Z, saying action on the application for The War Z "is suspended until the earlier-filed referenced application(s) is either registered or abandoned." The indication is that if the registration for World War Z is granted, the registration for The War Z will be refused. Thanks LightAssassin).
