The WarZ Patch; Data Wipe

This forum post announces plans for a data wipe for The War Z, following a new patch yesterday in the MMO zombie game. Word is: "Hey guys, we are doing our final sweeps on item balancing and exploits. We have locked down a significant portion of exploits and feel pretty good about where we are at currently. If all goes well and we do not find any other new exploits we intend to do a wipe at the end of the week." Indie Retro News has further word from a registered forum post suggesting the game may be adding a condition that will require an additional purchase to have more than three human clan members play together, though this seems to be unconfirmed at this time.

The ONLY reason we even know about this game is because they're promising the moon and stars while piggy-backing on the popularity of DayZ. Despite their vehement claims to the contrary, this game did not exist at the beginning of 2012; It's basically just a reskin of The War Inc., their previous online FPS, with zombies and various other stolen ideas thrown in to create an illusion of depth. I don't know how anyone could think this would be any better than that third-rate garbage... The fact that they were charging $25-40 for people to be the first to play this thing should have raised some red flags, but I keep hearing about people being burned by it. A fool and his money, I suppose.

What happens is you log in, hit a server browser, pick a non full 40 man server. You then set about trying to play the game you think you are getting based on their advertising and instead it turns out to be an all out fragfest of players just killing one another.

LMAO. The first thing I see every moron say about how The War Z is better than DayZ, is that it's a "true MMO" with hundreds of players in a game at once. If what you say is correct, it's just another example of them flat-out lying with their marketing.
