I really liked Mirror's Edge, though I'll echo that they need to overhaul the combat mechanics. I never minded being chased by the SWAT guys, because it added tension and urgency to the levels, but when you actually had to go fight them it became boring in a hurry.
The story was pretty damn naf as well, and I remember very little of it. Hopefully they'll flesh that out some.
Other than that, it was a great game. It had really nice level design and the mechanic of free-running was very well implemented. I loved watching world record videos of levels and having my jaw just drop at how incredible these guys were. Too bad all the cheating cocksuckers of the world feel the need to have their piss-ant dipshit names at the top of a leaderboard even though a braindead fucking monkey can see that they cheated to get it. It would have been cool to see an ACTUAL leaderboard with realistic if incredible times.
Definitely interested in Mirror's Edge 2, and kudos to EA for greenlighting its development. (I know the first one didn't exactly set the world on fire sales-wise.)
