The Half Elf wrote on Nov 14, 2012, 12:07: Graphics look better then GTA4 (seriously you aren't getting Crysis level of detail for that big of a world) Of course not but Skyrim had great graphics for an open world, as did Far Cry 2 - both performed excellently on PC and offered substantially better graphics. I know they're very different art-styles but I'm talking about the technical level. GTAIV looked terrible and suffered framerate drops on consoles, despite rendering at 630p on PS3.
I know that graphics aren't the be-all-and-end-all of gaming but I haven't seen anything to inspire confidence with regards to gameplay and Max Payne 3 has me worried about this. The lack of a PC version isn't forgiveable, especially after GTAIV. And as I've pointed out before, Watchdogs looks much better and they developers are treating the PC with respect rather than contempt.
The lack of any gameplay videos speaks volumes. |
