Special tasks are divvied up in their own section in the lower left but as far as I could tell all kills and stuff count towards mission end totals. One of the later missions had an optional quest where you could pick a side between two people and resulted in a death but I don't think it counted towards to the total. Generally speaking though, most deaths will count, accidental or otherwise. As an example, a guard tried to shoot me and accidentally hit one of my mission targets and I was blamed for the kill.
The game is incredibly fun if you don't save scumm it. The game auto-saves on area transitions which are infrequent but usually enough that they essentially act as checkpoint saves. |
