Infinite Game Publishing and Piranha Games announce that MechWarrior Online will enter open beta testing on October 16th:

Infinite Game Publishing (IGP) and Piranha Games announced today that MechWarrior Online will go Open Beta on October 16. MechWarrior Online, one of 2012’s most anticipated titles, has been lauded by fans and the games media as the return of true Mech combat. Any of you Blues want to squad up in MWO, just search for the "dropship 1" "dropship 2" or "dropship 3" rooms in C3. Got a lot of good players there always willing to squad up and form a proper 8-man.

Looking forward to the new mechs and maps coming in the next few months too.. things are shaping up nicely =)
