The time will be the same in the spaceship and on Earth, he claims, and there will not be "tidal forces inside the bubble, no undue issues, and the proper acceleration is zero. While that's really groovy and all, what about the big problems like shielding. From space debris like (micro) asteroids and such that will simply punch through a ship. What about internal shielding from cosmic rays and energetic particles? How could we plot points from A to B without knowing what's at B - imagine materializing inside something like the rings of Saturn or a massive gravity well. And we'll at least need to have mastered quantum computing first. And then if we can manage all that where are habitable planets, and if not, how do we terraform the ones that come closest to what we need? Yes, the idea of warp travel is keen but it sure doesn't amount to much if we can't figure out all the other necessary stuff too.
