FTL: Faster Than Light is now available from Steam, where this space combat strategy game is being offered for 10% off over the next week. Word is: In FTL you experience the atmosphere of running a spaceship trying to save the galaxy. It's a dangerous mission, with every encounter presenting a unique challenge with multiple solutions.
This "spaceship simulation roguelike-like" allows you to take your ship and crew on an adventure through a randomly generated galaxy filled with glory and bitter defeat.

I'm pretty sure Valve at least runs a virus scan before uploading anything to their servers. You're right about heuristic scans, but Steam testing the exes before uploading... You know their work ethics. If they don't "feel" it, they don't do it. |

| Consoles? I owned two: a Pong clone and an Atari 2600. And that's it. |
